We named our Spacegear the Blue Traveller hoping to do a lot trips, long and short. However due to work and other commitments, many trips did not materialize. Last year in early July, we made a 9 day trip to the coast of Oregon starting from Astoria. We enjoyed the beauty and sights of the Oregon coast staying in several campgounds for a few nights each. The kids wanted to visit the Winston Wildlife Safari just south of Roseburg, Oregon so we did that very long trip from Newport to Winston early one morning, Enjoyed the wildlife safari during the day and drove back to our next campground near Portland just before dark. WE stayed a couple more nights before heading back to home.

Earlier on in the trip, I blended 20 liters of WVO with 45 liters of diesel. on that last part of the trip where I knew I would burn thru a tank of fuel on a 450 km stretch, the blend was 40 liters of WVO to 25 liters diesel . I am happy to report that the Blue Traveller performed flawlessly during the entire trip. This is the Blue Traveller during that trip. Last June, we were at it again. The Blue Traveller took us to Ocean Shores, Washington but with a new partner. It was a short but fun trip considering that we were right by the water. I can now confirm that the Blue Traveller can tow a 2500 lb trailer with ease at least on none mountainous routes.

Looks like you had a great time! Are you considering putting some air bags in? The back looks quite low with that trailer attached.

Airbags were added a week after we returned from the Ocean Shores trip. I could actually hear and feel the suspension bottoming out the entire trip so it had to be done.
I will post a picture the next time I have the trailer in tow.

Hi, Great pictures. You say your trailer is about 2500 lbs. Is this fully loaded or empty? Also Could you please give some info on your air bag system you installed? This is another thing I would like to do and any info would be appreciated.

The trailer manufacturer specs says it is 2185 dry weight. I carry minimal 5 gallons in the fresh water tank to keep the weight to a minimum plus camping gear, food and others so maybe a total of 300 to 400 lbs.

I put in an Airlift 1000 Airbag. Sorry can't remember the model number but it was for a 95 Montero. Fairly easy install. My back end used to sag and bottom out every dip and bump. In the pictures below, I had to let some air out as the trailer was nose up. I have to redo my hitch ball configuration.
