Hi guys! can anyone confirm the AC charge weight for an L400 with front and rear AC?
I pulled it from the shop manual and it says 950g, but i wanted to make sure that it was correct. some times some L300 stuff gets thrown in there.

Thanks in advance

There is a sight glass on the receiver dryer that you can use to gauge how much refrigerant you need.

Ya i see the sight class but im a new school mechanic who does not know how these crazy things work!LOL other then just charge till pressure is correct? or run vacum then charge with specified amount. i have only used a site glass to see bubbles... then no bubbles if full... or so i think.

Run your vacuum, then as filling, you will see bubbles, or a "milky" look. As you slowly fill it, the glass will get darker and darker(less bubbles) when the bubbles are gone, your full. Easy peasy. I don't know why they had to complicate things with charge weights. In the good old days, when the system was getting weak, you could just top it off by watching the sight glass. Now you have to either know the system pressure, or evacuate it and start all over. If you are using 12a, a few bubbles left are ok. If your using 134, go until the glass is dark (no bubbles)
