Now I've done it- Getting the Schaft

Well i was getting a drive line vibration in 4WD as of late so i decided to buy some u joints and throw them in there, before checking the old ones for play. I was basically assuming that was the problem because it is winter and I do not want to crawl under my van to check junk out unless i really have to. Well I scored because the aft U joint in the forward driveshaft had a huge amount of play in it, like over 1/4" I have no idea how it was still holding on, especially with driving around in 4 hi all winter
So I pulled the drive shaft and learned quickly that the back of the shaft is wet spline and i am dropping t case fluid all over the floor. boourns to that, I guess I am gonna be doing my t case fluid as well. The fwd ujoint was pretty painless to remove and install due to an oil leak from the engine keeping the corrosion away on the circlips and bearing cups. I broke a circlip on the aft joint but other than that it was relatively painless to get out. Putting it back in is being a big challenge though because one of the cups does not want to seat properly, its 3/4 of the way, the joint swivels just fine, but i cannot drive it home to install the circlip. I am done messing with it tonight, and will attempt tomorrow afternoon.
anyhow the lesson i have learned is that the delica is not ghetto enough to be able to drive around without a front driveshaft installed, because that would make my life a little bit easier. Oh and i also found more oil leaks to have to contend with this spring, rear t case output seals leaking, rear diff pinion leaking, a nice line of fluid sprayed in an arc around it, among other things. This winter kicked the crap out of my van. true story.
