Well i have been lurking around this site for the last couple of months, and wow there is so much information. Every question I have wondered (and as we all know there are many ) in this process of purchasing a deli has been easily found on this site. a big shout out to Glenn who when i was first looking and he was selling his, took time out of his busy schedule to show me my first Delica and answer my very newbie questions. Thanks guys :-D

Happily on Saturday I purchased my very own 95 Exceed Low Roof from Mardy. I have been driving a ford ranger. great little truck, but with our family expanding it just doesn't meet our needs. and until we stumbled upon the delica we were not sure a truck/van could meet all our needs. We like camping off the beaten path, and i need to carry tools for work (mostly D/T hence the low roof lol) and not a killer on gas.

We are very much looking forward to the new adventures ahead finding new camping spots and hitting the old favorites. And looking forward to meeting some of you guys in person. I see there is a meet coming up and i am excited to go. I'll be easy to spot, Just look for the guy with one day of insurance, until my truck sells the Deli will be parked :-( but i'm making the most of the three days i have now, lol.

Thank again
Elias

P.S.- we named the van Bertie, our two year old loves thomas the train and his friend Bertie bus.

Welcome to Delica Canada, Elias :M

Good to have you and Bertie on board! For your information, there is a mini-meet coming up this month that you may wish to attend. There you will meet other Delica drivers and there rides ~ a great place to get ideas first hand. Look in the "Events - Lower Mainland" forum for more info.

Happy trails... smiles.

Falco.

Elias - it was nice meeting you! My neighbor, Wayne, aka thelazybrownfox, let me poke around his L300 before I got mine - I'm just paying it forward.

Enjoy your Delica- it's your ticket to family fun this coming summer!

Post a pic!
