hi everyone - glad to be here!
am happy (new) owner of 97 spacegear exceed. will remove 2 rear seats to create self-designed 'travel pod' as intend to do some travelling, show 9 yr old the wonders of the north american continent. so far its been quite fun - departure from previous vehicles (saab 92 convertible, merc 230 sl) but in ways more similar than expected. feels most like toyota hilux/ forunner we had in nz. well, less juddery. despite smoother ride my son has named delica RUMBLE (: . never thought i would own a 'van' but am now getting a bit obsessed (owning a classic saab was early training)... love the possibilities. the kids love looking at the sky and reclining seats.
already get loads of positive comments when out and about (also very saab). particularly enjoyed a lovely american telling my visiting ex he is a very lucky man to have a wife like me (: .
would love to organise a 'camping' weekend with other owners/ enthusiasts
