I've been enjoying those new classic skiis lately. I had one night in fresh powder, great powder turns for classic skiiis. Thursday I was linking parallel turns in corn snow. Waxing continues to be a challenge but fun. Fast bases too!
Thanks for your help selecting those BC Fischer classics. Very versatile skiis.
Thank Sigges too!

I love nordic skiing. Just started last January when my Aussie girlfriend was "desperate to try skiing." We've been heaps since. Classic, as that's the kit we got, but I'm keen to add skating too, but that's another set of gear so will have to wait. January weather was fabulous at our local Mt. Washington with inversions most days. A day skiing is a great workout with heaps of exhilarating fun under the clear blue sunny winter sky. Hard to beat. Then back home and under the ceiling of gloom. Skiing is the best thing that ever happened to winter!

Glad to hear they're working out! If you need a hand with waxing or some tips, just let me know.
Konadog, if you are interested in skate skiing you should take out some rentals, I do both and classic can be very technical, skate is more of a thrill and is in fact the world's best all-around workout. Basically it works out the same muscles as swimming but since you are supporting your own body weight you get a more intense workout and burn roughly 1500 calories an hour!
