Anybody else find Delica Trader COMPLETELY un-user-friendly when trying to register, login, create new ad, add pictures, back out of adding a picture, modify text, add another picture, or generally use the site in order to place an ad to sell one's vehicle?

Maybe it was just me and my wife, I don't know.

Yeah put simply it is a steaming pile of dog poo.

There are a couple of problems that I have with Delica Trader, other than just trying to create an ad to sell a vehicle.

Other forums have for sale sub-forums and I don't understand why it wasn't going to work here on delica.ca. I know we chewed on this quite a bit back when it was stood up, but now that I go to use Delica Trader, it's a completely unsatisfactory experience. AND I've advertised elsewhere.

Second, because it's a second site, and because we can't talk on delica.ca about the vehicles we're trying to sell, it's seems kinda difficult to announce/discuss the vehicle for sale on Delica Trader.

I know I've dragged the dead horse back out into the middle of the farmyard so we can all have a go at it again...

I liked the vendor section that we had in Delica Canada, too ~ but there was a group of members that made a big stink about it and lobbied to have it removed, I thought the parts forum was quite good. The thing is ~ as a response to the lobbyists ~ Mark put a lot of effort & some money into designing and building Delica Trader, which by and large is good for selling vehicles but not as good for selling parts. This is a discussion that inevitably has turned up at the last couple of Quarterly Review Board meetings. There is a thread on this subject in the Mod Forum that is taking it's usual coarse of action and will eventually be resolved. One thing we have been toying with is a merchant page of some sort, perhaps built on the DC website but accessed via DT, or... keep it in house at DC. This subject was first brought up in August of last year amongst the administration but since DT came about things have changed. Another point, which I'm sure doesn't impress everyone but is still a fact, apart from running the site the admin/mods have jobs and family, &c., that takes up time. Having said that we are working toward an end.

The end that wouldnt take too much time is to bring back the forum sections for vehicles and parts exactly like it was for individuals...and keep the dealers on Delica Trader...and keep the for sale forum off the VAT just like the off-topic last word cafe is. 1 2 ez to do.

And zero tolerance for dealer posts, that will keep Mardy from flogging the forum with Imelda Marcos collectible spoons again.

Sounds good to me - I miss the classifieds...

I don't even see the point of complaining. The admins of this site are doing the best they can. Literally.
