L300's-What do you do with your space where the Rear AC was?

I removed the rear AC unit, mostly because i wanted the coolant lines to heat my WVO lines.
I figured while i was under there i would just remove it, as i never use it and it was just taking up space...
But now i HAVE that space, and i don't know what to do with it.
So anyone else utilizing it for anything?
Ideas?
Marine batteries for a solar power system? Tool box? Jack and shovel? Potable Water tank? hot water tank? aux fuel tank? Wvo filtration system?
I don't know! what did you do?

I have thought long and hard about this, so far I have an Airtronic under the middle bench seat and the intake/exhaust/fuel intake come out where the old rear AC/heater was. I want to mount an aux battery under there as well. Did you remove the front AC parts as well?

i haven't removed the front ac yet. but it's on the list.
i want to save the fan and heating unit for the front. i'll figure it out later.
I'm thinking most likely that i'll put a deep cycle battery bank there. I'll do a big post about it in a few weeks, when i have time to do it.
I don't have a 'cool'box' in this van, so a beer fridge is on my list too. but i'm thinking it'll go over a wheel well kinda in the back.
superstore has 12v cooler packs on sale right now. probably crap. but collapsable...

Why do you want to get rid of the a/c? - It's a handy piece of kit, esp. in the winter when the widows fog up and the air gets clammy. Just turn the heat up and the a/c on and the air dries and the windows clear in a few minutes. It's nice for the cool air on those few hot days in the summer, but winter is when a good a/c unit is really useful.

Scrapped my entire ac system as well .The bushy in me said i didnt need it, heaps of empty spaces now. My thoughts were a water tank so i made 1 out of pvc pipe but it only held 15 ltrs so i scrapped it. Then battery box came to mind but it would of sat too low then axulliary tank but to expensive. So it still remains empty.

Why I scrapped my rear Air conditioner:
-it was busted. busted as in didn't work. i dont know why.
-250 dollars for someone to figure out how much it would cost to have it fixed.
-i wanted the coolant lines for my wvo setup.
-air conditioned air makes me ill over time any way.
-i figured i could use the space for something else.
-i wanted to use the interior space, where the controls are, for an inverter and utility plug ins.
I am now definitely leaning toward battery bank for a solar power setup.
I'll post pics of this build when i get there.
