So, I've burnt out my headlight combo switch (yes, over wattlbs). I need to replace or repair it. Who, where, and how much?

Regarding repair, this was my experience: http://www.delica.ca/forum/l300-combina ... 11284.html

Regarding replacement, you have two options: You can order a Japanese one, which I understand is very expensive, check with RMI; or you can order a Korean one, which is cheaper but as the Koreans drive on the other side of the road ~ your wands will be reversed. Check with CVI, Max Overdrive, Rising Sun, Amazing Autos, &c..

I would suggest buying a replacement from Maximum Overdrive. They have new ones made in China that plug right in, I had to trim a little of the cowling to get it to work. Odd going back to having the turn signal on the correct side though haha.

I had on and off problems with mine in the past. My first encounter with this issue was in the winter a couple of years ago, made it difficult to get back and forth to work in the dark *%$^*, I ended up tracking downa used one from CC Auto but it lasted only six months before it went. I tried tracking one down locally after that (M.O. was out of stock) as a few vehicles were being wrecked at the time but no luck. Jay helped me out and spliced a couple of switches in that lasted for quite a while even though it was to be a temp fix. I upgraded to include relays etc but after time I could see some over heating issues which I think were because there was still current going through the control unit... so I tried M.O. again and they had one in stock. Easy fix and quick compared to all the other fussing that is otherwise needed. Only thing is my horn is no longer working. Still have to investigate that

I looked into buying the turn signals myself from China, minimum order is 500... It works out to pretty cheap per unit but I didnt really want to outlay a bunch of cash. I think the price was about $1500 plus shipping.

Thanks guys. Sadly, i'm on the road thru the middle of august. I think the best i can do is splice in a couple switches. Any advice on that would be great. (ie. Which wires i need to splice in to rig simple switches for low & hi beams)
