Hey guys!

I was wondering which tires should I get? I'm not too sure since there are a billion of them. I sorta did my research but school got the best of me.
(BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO any good?) the treads seems aggressive for city.

And I'm doing this for my dad :) We will be heading to Bellingham/Seattle for a day trip on Tuesday.

So the question again is, which tires should we get? We won't be doing any offroading or anything, just city driving and going up to the mountains for boarding. and running stock suspension and rims.

Something like a michellin ltx or ltx at would work best. You don't sound like you need anything too aggressive. 235/75/15 wouldnbe your best bet for size.

so i'm getting the Yoko Geolanders AT/S in the same size as you posted. Is the LTX 'better' then the AT/S?

Looking at the tire rack reviews, you've probably made the right decision.

Tires are pretty subjective. Much as I like my General Grabbers offroad, they do make quite a bit of noise, and I've lost a handfull of mpg's. Next time, I'll go for something less aggressive.

I like the Yoko's. Not noisy and aggressive enough when I need them. We actually get snow here and they worked out pretty good for me .

i honestly thought there would be more input though.

I didn't know about the LTX you mentioned Feds.
Hopefully we get more snow this winter in vancouver haha, so i'll get to test them out.

FalcoColumbarius likes this post. And when the snow gets deeper there are always accessories. Yoko Geolandars are very comprehensive tyres, I like the LT235/75R15s.

The Michelins are on every fleet vehicle I've bothered to take a look at. LTX's on the street trucks and AT's on trucks that go into construction sites.

Has to be some cost/benefit analysis based on how popular they are.

I am waiting for a quote for toyo m55 its what all the service trucks for the logging companies on the island are running

Toyo M55s are super popular for mine trucks up here, as well as a lot of full size work trucks up here in the north.

I am debating between Toyo open country A/Ts Or Cooper Discoverer A/T3s.

hello everyone, just want to let you guys know that I got the Yoko Geo AT-s. After Feds mentioned the LTX I hesitated about my order through discount tires.
BUT in the end my descisions to keep the Yoko did not go to waste. Quiet tires, WAY quieter than what I had with my stock tires, some crappy no name brand.
Might consider with LTX next time i need to change tires, but that wont be anytime soon.

Seems like I'm getting more MPG with the Royal. which is always a good thing. decent acceleration.

I will keep this thread updated as the tires rack up more mileage in them. More like a review :)

Heres a picture with of the tire :D will get a full body shot of it later.

Oh how do I know when the tires are fully broken in?

Falco, I also got the LT version of this tire instead of the P. I didnt know if the P rating will handle all the weight of the Royal.

ALSO, It was really nice that I got to meet you in person that time at CVI. not sure if you remember, since it was a couple months ago.

The company I work for uses Toyo M55s on some of their work trucks... They are capable offroad and in snow, but I have found them very noisy on the pavement. I haven't noticed any noise from the Yokohama Geolanders on my deli.

As an aside I prefer stiffer sidewalls on the L300, the roll center seems to load them a lot on the front on corners, and softer tires felt like the bus was rolling over the tire to the outside, stiffer tires didnt.
