Don't do business with Japanoid.

I made a post a few months ago regarding some "poor" service I had from Japanoid. To make a long story short, I have a timing belt that needs re-doing (was just done last February) and my head gasket blew a month and a half ago (which had been done not long before that by the previous owner). Both these jobs should have lasted longer than they did - especially the timing belt!

I also made a post recently asking if there was anyone at Japanoid, as I had called countless times and left several voicemails with Shogo over the course of more than a month. I had even called the garage and asked if he was around, and sure enough - he had been around the whole time.

Finally out of frustration, I tried e-mailing the Japanoid general contact e-mail on their website with my situation. I received a response from Shogo basically saying that they only have a 6 month warranty on all their labour and basically I was S.O.L. I sent another message asking a) why my voicemails had gone unanswered and that b) it's a shame their not standing by their labour in the slightest, as a timing belt should last longer than that, etc. etc.

In a series of back and forth e-mails, Shogo directly admitted to ignoring my phone calls and voicemails, as I had previously posted my frustrations with their labour on this site. Not a very professional way to deal with this situation, and has just made me more pissed off.....

Childish management, poor customer service, sub-par labour. I don't recommend anyone using them for anything.

CVI

You won't be disappointed. Worth the drive.

There is nothing more valuable than a mechanic you can trust. Seriously, why would you go anywhere else? I won't. Nice guys too.

Yeah I do take it to CVI. This was back when I first got the van that this mechanical work was done (head gasket just before I bought it).

Add a few more to the tally. Forgot to update this one: had ALL this work redone at CVI and couldnt be happier! Except for the price tag of course....oh well! Some aftermarket non-OEM parts were used by Japanoid which they denied. Live and learn. All we can do is warn others of shoddy shops and crapp-a-noid seems to be one of them.
