I really have to say that Delica.ca is better than having an L300 Owner's Manual.
Why?
I Quote from Luna-Sea...
"The light is a shared parking brake/brake problem light.
Are you sure you are not loosing any fluid?"
Several months ago I noticed a leak from my Master Cylinder (stain on the carpet by my feet was the give-away) and the fluid finally started to drop a little.
Just last week I also noticed that my E-brake light would come on intermittently. Figuring that the switch might be sticky and after a while it (the light) was on almost all the time I thought I might have a wiring problem as the switch seemed fine.
But based on the above quote you can see where I am going with this. I'll confess my own ignorance. Today I mucked around with the switch and wiring to no avail and also topped up the brake fluid, which was at the "low" point.
Afterward I come to Delica.ca to do a little research to see if anyone else has had this issue. Then, low and behold, I read the thread with the above quote.
I walk out to ShaunVanRamen and would you believe...
The E-brake light now functions properly.
So I wish to offer thanks to all those that have figured it out before the rest of us and are willing to share the knowledge.
