Delica Canada | Mitsubishi Van Club

I've been waiting a while for this documentary to be finished and released, but you lucky folks in Vancouver will be able to see it shortly. I'll have to still wait until it comes to Ontario or be released.
The iconic VW Bus is the ONLY reason we have a Delica. My wife and I have always wanted a VW Bus, but when we moved to BC and saw the Delica we couldn't help but buy one. We owe our love for our Delica to the VW Bus.

This is exactly the same for my wife and I. We both fell in love with the Westfalia so we bought the perfect one and drove it to Tofino to get married on the beach and then took an extra 4000km to make our way home touring through the pacific northwest. Our love for our westy allowed me to get another interesting van, my Man-Van Delica ! I am getting mine out of winter storage this weekend and I can't wait. It will be like a cheesy romance movie with me running in slow motion to give it a warm embrace...then swear at it because it won't start

I think us inlanders will have to wait for the DVD unfortunately. I have been waiting a long time and can't wait to see this movie.

Really enjoyed the 70's westie's I've owned. And even though admittedly they were purchased was because of some else's love/addiction to them, and I was the one who wrenched on them; though my wife and I are long since separated, I would buy one again in a heart beat.

SO.... who went and how awesome was it? I am dying to see this. Thought about it all day as I worked on my van/bus

I just came across this thread. It was just a day or two ago that I was thinking this exact thought to myself, that we, as Delica fans, are a very nice analogue to the classic VW Microbus, (I call them BugBuses), culture of the 1960s. All we need now is a band to follow. I nominate Spoons.

I just caught wind, too...it seems they're doing a whirlwind tour of southern Ontario this fall. {sigh} I do hope their live DVD is finished soon.

Oh, that is so cool! Do the few Vanagon Syncros that were made really perform as well as that?

my understanding is Syncros perform really well when working....

Mica Strong has some other good songs (I bought a few from him and he sent me a few including a good MP3 version of the above)...

But they're still not Delicas!
