What insurance companies do Alberta Delica owners use? I called Meloche Monnex but the guy I spoke with had never heard of a Delica and the quote I got ($600 for basic liability) seemed to be pulled out of thin air - I got quotes for two vastly different vehicles, both RHD imports and the cost was the same for each (the other was a UK Rover Mini). He had to google Mitsubishi Delica to even see what it was (as it wasn't in their system)

I called AMA for a quote, but again, only liability (and MUCH more expensive). Ended up going Meloche Monnex, as they were cheaper and offered the same coverage. It seems in our sorry state of AB car insurance, there isn't much choice. Hope this provides at least some help. Good luck!

I have 2 RHDs fully insured with them/him - very affordable.

I go through Morgex Insurance in Edmonton. I got full coverage (PL + PD) for the same as our domestic. Here is the kicker though, my deductable is $2500 and I had to sign off that I could not get more than $13000 in the event of a total. So I am going to drop to limitted on the glass coverage because that really doesn't help at all. It was easy to get, just had to send picture of the VIN plate. I can't find the statement right now but when I do I will give you more details. Here is my contact:

I tried to call her about a week ago and she is away on Mat. Leave so you get directed to her interm. Hope this helps you out a bit because I know I was pretty frustrated trying to find insurance with full coverage but I dangled the golden carrot of "I will move my house and other vehicles to your company if you insure this one". Worked....ish.

I'm through morgex as well, my deductible is 2700 but full coverage minus collision is 44/month...Only 21 to boot lol.

Hi Jason,

it might be a good idea to check insurance consumer review for each of those companies before making a decision. I think AMA does not look good in terms of insurance reviews:
- Consumer auto insurance reviews for Meloche Monnex

That's because mine is just listed as a Mitsubishi Delica- not the Swiss Army Batmobile!
