Clean up crew last year:The 4WDABC is hosting a cleanup of the Lost Creek FSR in the East Stave Lake area on Saturday, April 21st, beginning at 9 am.
The staging area will be at the Davis Lake turnoff which is approximately 3 kilometers after Sylvester Road turns to gravel, on the left. 9 am will be the meet and greet along with general orientation and 10 am will be the cleanup start.
Thus far, we have commitments for 2 dump trucks to transport the garbage to the Mission dump. Mission has once again waived the tippage fees for our event.
Last year, the 1st annual cleanup was an outstanding success with over 110 volunteers collecting over 18 tons of garbage and steel.
We look forward to you joining us for another fabulous day of camaraderie, fun and an all round rewarding day of making our back country a better place to enjoy our pastime.

It was a great day indeed, starting from the best weather we had this year so far and ending in the amazing turn out of volunteers and the staggering amount of garbage collected. The dump trucks were having issues keeping up (not for a lack of trying) and by the end of the day it was impossible to even guess at how much got hauled out of there. It was my first clean up and I have to admit that I was shocked, amazed and very moved by the energy, drive and devotion of all the people who worked so hard at cleaning up something they had nothing to do with. There was a woman there that recently was in surgery and should have likely stayed at home, one of the guys had a nasty sprain and was crawling up and down ravines to collect trash, this was amazing! One gentleman (Jim) that I met showed up in Little Iraq and even though he was the only one there at the time he started to clean up a place that would have take 20+ people the entire day, when I got there he didn't seem fazed by the amount of stuff and just kept at it. You all did amazing work up there!
