After spending a few months driving/camping in the UK, Hungary, Germany and France, I don't have any sympathy for Can/US drivers whining about fuel prices. We've had it low for so long.
Alternative fuel is the best remedy. We have diesels + they like oil.

Funny, diesel in New Zealand is only $1.69/L, NZ$. But, then you have to add the road use charges for diesel and it takes it to about $1.90/L NZ or about $1.50 Ca. Petrol is about $2.10/L NZ.
Still about $1.10 / L in Red Deer.

Mohawk (Husky), North Van (3rd Street) today: $1.45.9 per litre. Honestly? I much rather preferred it when it was 50ยข a litre, even if they are paying through the nose in Europe.
Falco.

It's such a money grab. Diesel is a byproduct of fuel refining but it's the same price as premium at some stations.

For a small amount yes, never supply mainstream with current consumption. Other technology is already there and will become more prevalent in next couple decades as we start the crunch (and wars) over our limited resources........ current technology based around petrol is just way to cheap until other tech has a chance to increase production levels...... however, they all use some other forms of finite resources...... nasty nasty

....... diesel has way different market considerations than gasoline, commercial/industry being the largest
Have to go beyond the 11:00 news special for any relevant comments on such a subject.......
