Welcome to Canada, here's your crash damage

My poor Delica... It survives 15 years on the crowded streets of Japan with not so much as a door ding. One month in Canada and it gets smacked.

Whole story is: I was stopped at a red light, 3rd in line. Traffic goes through the intersection, then stops again ~200m beyond (there was an animal on the road). As I drive slow, I coast to a stop, spend a couple of seconds looking at the animal (a white crane?), then I hear screeching tires and BAM. My first thought was: Damn, I should have bought a hitch first!

Pull off to the side, check the other driver is o.k., spend 20 minutes waiting for the police/getting an incident number, then drive home.

I had to beat the left side of the bumper down so that I could use the door. The only operational issue is that the rear door doesn't latch all the way, so my key fob wont work. She also flattened my spare tire. Should get a call from the adjuster today, then the wild parts hunt begins:
