New Pajero Family

After a year of searching for the perfect little 4x4, we brought home a 91 SWB Pajero the other day. Seems to be in great shape overall (had inspection done) but there is no record of the timing belt ever being done, so we are getting on that pronto. I am impressed each day when I learn something new about this vehicle. For a 91, it sure has a lot of clever features on it. My daughter drove tonight, with my husband in the passenger seat, and I had loads of room in the back seat (there are 3 seatbelts back there!!) with all of our stuff. So questions:
Where is a good place to buy diesel on Vancouver Island - who sells good diesel and who should we avoid?
And should we be waving at all the other RHDs out there? Man there are loads of Delicas around here (Duncan)!!
I'm learning loads here already, thanks in advance for all your advice.

Welcome...

looks very nice.

Do both timing belts and tensioners, flush the cooling system, new hoses, and water pump, V-belts, adjust valves, fuel filter, air filter, oil (every 4000km like a religion), flushing the tranny, axles, diffs never hurts....

AND a Pyro is a good investment on the 2.5L as you can get to melt piston temperatures (you have to drive a diesel differently if this is your first).

welcome...

Welcome

I always have a soft spot for shorty Paj's

Radd cruisers in Duncan are a good shop to deal with. Rob is an honest guy and they know Pajero's inside and out

Cheers

Thought it was time for a new picture. Completely stock still, but have done all the work needed for now. Big bill but it runs and rides great and I feel safe letting my daughter drive it. This is a photo of it out in the neighbour's field picking up some things, that little truck sure earns his keep. We haul stuff in it all the time, tonight it's bringing home a new generator.
