Things I learned today

Yes! My delica has an LSD in the rear end!
No! My hi lift jack does not lower!
No! My shovel is not big enough!
No! The van cannot ford through deep snowbanks!
Yes! You CAN high center yourself on crusty snow!

It was a good day :-D

The workout was short lived, I called a buddy for a tug back onto the ice road. My tow strap is sweet but only with another truck haha. Next time there will be pics! I seem to be bad at that, I get all caught up in the moment and forget about it :-D

The key to ensuring that a high lift jack will work when you need it is to keep a can of spray lube in the vehicle. Just lube the heck out of the pins before you use it and it will work like a charm. I have found that a long handled shovel is the best for digging out when you are hung up. The upside, winter is almost done.

Ah good idea with the spray lube! My hi lift is way older than I am, so I am not really surprised it isn't working like it should. I think a trip to Canadian tire/ the hardware store is in order. We still have a couple of months of winter up here, although it has been unseasonably warm, so it could be a fast spring.
