1983? I believe that is going to be a 2nd Gen Delica. Tell you what? I suspect that your VIN (Frame Number) is likely going to be in the same place as a 3rd Gen Delica, beside the driver's seat, under a little hatch. Go to Delica Canada Technical (see the board index); look for "FAQ & Technical Reference Libraries"/ "Delica FAQ Section"; then look for a thread called "Useful Links", Click on that ;then scroll down 'til you see "JDM Online Catalogue", click on that; enter your VIN into the Mitsubishi field and click enter. It should give you every OEM part number for YOUR wagon, as well as other information, such as the date your wagon rolled off the assembly line. Once you have established the OEM part number ~ you should be able to source a part once you have something to cross-reference.
Falco.

i wrote my vin number but... "No exact frame number found"
it's the same answer from the mitsubishi's dealership some days ago.
This is the real problem, the vin number on the metal tablet inside the car i think is wrong!!!!!
maybe a i have to take a look on the chassis but i don't know where i can find it!

Okay, to start with:
- 1/ What are the first four digits of your VIN;
2/ where did you find the VIN that didn't work?;
3/ there are a couple of codes, one is a VIN, one looks like a VIN.
One other thing we should acknowledge is the Delicas we (in Canada) deal with are Japanese ones. You are in Italia and I'm presuming you're vehicle is Italian. Also we are generally dealing with 3rd & 4th generation Delicas, is your's a 2nd generation? We haven't established this. Is your vehicle an Italian one or was it imported?
One place you could look ~
On the L300 there is a plaque under a flap in the carpet, between the legs of the driver, beneath the seat.
This plaque (on the L300) has a few codes on it, it looks like this:

This picture comes from a thread in "Delica FAQ Section" called "L300 Vehicle Identification". This might help you out. The VIN number* on that Delica is P35W-0303137. Enter that number into the Mitsubishi field that was described in my previous post and we find that the vehicle is a Delica Star Wagon that was manufactured on the 2nd September, 1992 and it has another code that goes along with it: P35W HSRGT2, this code tells you about the vehicle. See: L300 Vehicle Identification
Falco.
*Also known as the Frame Number or the Chassis Number.

Since you have a 2nd generation I would try either Australia or the UK Forms as I think they might have saw your generation Delica. Canadian's started to import the 3rd and newer Delicas (ours have rack and pinion steering).
Good Luck

Compared with our's those digits look more like body codes, interior/exterior/paint codes, &c..
Nice looking wagon, by the way ~ do you have a name for her?
Falco.

delicaclub.ru
ask Profister to help you
alternatively, you can get it here. I've emailed them and it will take some time to get it but it is available. $470 USD
http://mitsubishi.lacars.ru/mb315783.html among other Russian sites
or try Mardy at Amazing Auto as your model can be found overseas in the Phillipines where he is going

Now that you have the OEM part number ~ have you checked with the local Mitsubishi Dealership in Italia? Just order that part. I suspect that that wagon comes from Italia or somewhere in Europe, no?
Falco.
P.S.: If you got the part number from Deutschland then why not order the part from there, as well, if you can't source it from Italia. It would be cheaper than trying to get it from Canada...
