Oil change? Slightly different than usual.

I'm having a few small leaks from my oil filter attachment (the connection between where the stick filter goes and my bypass unit). I want to remove the attachment, tighten all the connections and re-attach without doing an oil change. Should this be a big problem or will only a small amount of oil come out? I need to leave on a roadtrip on Tuesday so I can't take it to a mechanic and have a limited amount of time to make this work.
Thanks and Happy Holidays!

You can kind of guess how much oil might come pouring out when you remove the adapter by the location of the stock filter to the sump. If much higher very little loss, if low like equal to the sump then a large amount. If you have a clean oil pan you could jusg catch the drainage, adjust your adapter, then refill. Worst case replace the oil with new if you only have a dirty oilpan.

Thats the answer I was hoping for. My oil pan is quite clean so that's what I'll do!
Thanks!
