I need a new interior rearview mirror...
Mine has a loose connection and wanders everywhere. This is my second mirror, the first was replaced for the same reason. Anyone out there have one for sale or can offer any advice to keep it from migrating south?

Not looked at Mitsubishi mirrors, but if it is the kind that is just anchored to the windshield, my old Toyota one had a small panel on the back centre; pop it off and underneath was a Philips screw you tighten or loosen to adjust the tension on the friction mechanism inside.
???

No, this is a roof mounted mirror. It doesn't have any sort of tension adjustment.
It's so damn frustrating, I can't be the only one out there with this issue.
When I drive and look into the mirror I see my crotch... although it gives me a good sense of security knowing that my crotch is still there, I would feel even more secure knowing if there is anything or anyone behind me when I'm driving.
If I can't find a replacement then I'm going to have to Macgyver something... I'm pretty close to using duct tape or bubble gum.

If it is any help the OEM part number for the Mirror Assembly is MB769228, at least on my wagon (low roof). I think the going price on it is $84US. There are also OEM part numbers for the base, plate spring and screw, which tells me that if there is a plate spring and a screw it strikes me as being adjustable.

Hi,
I had the same issue with my mirror. Than I broke the windshield accidently, and I replaced it with an aftermarket one (about 125$). These windshields have an anchor for the mirror glued on it. I took my old caravan mirror and put it there. Works perfect!
I suggest you drop a tool on your windshield
Just kidding!

any windshield shop can glue the mount in for a "North American" style mirror.
Then any wrecking yard should have a mirror...take you pick (I bet most windshield shops will have a spare mirror kicking around)..
you should be under $20.00 and have easy to get mirror

I ordered a used one from Coombs County for cheap and it is fine; doesn't move around like my last one did.
