L400 Crystallite roof racks wanted

Hi there everyone. Popular subject. Many hours spent online with dead ends. No detailed photos of how certain racks attach and am wanting an affordable option. $500 for two aluminum bars is not affordable in my opinion. Any help with custom fabs or affordable solution would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has some used racks for sale that will fit on my van that would be awesome.
Need them in the next few weeks. Had ordered the ladder, rack with safari box from Andy 3 months ago but haven't heard a peep since August in case anyone else is wondering, I wouldn't hold breath lol

Andy would have been my first option but lately I haven't been able to get in contact with him at all. I have the designs for my roof rack if you want them, the only measurement you'd need to take is the distance between the gutters as I believe that's different for the L400's. Andy charged me $300 to make them and would be cheaper if they didn't have the extensions out the sides.

Talk to Noel at Enviroimports.com - he made me an excellent quality roof rack for a good price:

They had it done in less than 2 weeks if I remember correctly, they installed it, it was easy and great. Nice guys to work with. Apparently it is a bit more of a challenge to build a rack for the L400 as the roof shape is irregular, but I'm sure they can pull it off (not sure if they did it before).

Yeah thanks for feedback guys but yes those are the $500 racks. I really like the look of the safari box too but it's looking more and more like I'm going to have to buy something when I'm in the states as it's MUCH cheaper there. Like to stay local, but hey...

I had the same issues, he never got back to me. Some sort of correspondence would have been courteous? Oh well :M

My order was just for feet. Before the summer, last year was the last I had heard from him..

Yes I am looking for a safari cage like the one's Andy used to make. Now I've been forced to take another route. I purchased Thule 953 High Racks from a U.S. company and am having them shipped free to business across the line that will charge me $4 to receive them. All in it's going to cost me $150 less than if I were to buy them in Canada and the fact that I'm heading south into the states already makes it a bargain. I'm all about supporting local, but when the price is near double what you can get them for in the states, how can I?? Local companies would only offer 10% off which is appreciated, but nowhere near the deal especially after you tack on 12% HST (horse shit tax)

I'm now looking for a safari rack as an add on so if anyone knows of a good deal new or used, shoot me a PM please and thanks!
