OK so last week I decided I did not want to work on the Ford Escort anymore.....Time to get a new van....Maybe an L400? Oh wait those cost $$$$ money.... So here is what we got:

Yep a 1997 Ford Aerostar, 3.0LL, automagic, all stock, 204,000km, lots of recent work.....After selling the Escort the van cost us $200.00. Less than the price of new tires that the Escort need and the Van had!

Hey- as long as it works. Plus it is still a van, technically

Now you should throw on some after-market bling and maybe a few neon pinstripes!

Good point - well at least a ghetto snorkel then.

I will wait for Nick on on Bling suggestions as he seems to be the expert! OK Nick is here now.
OK Nick how can I make it look sporty other then the below ford idea of sporty!
My wife does not really like the Ghetto Snorkel (It is the 3rd 4X4 with the Rona option!)
Oh yes I think the "Sport" package in 1997 consisted of:
1) Sticker that says "Sport"
2) Nothing else
But it is fast and sporty compared to a fully campered L300

Lower it, put on some spinners with low profile tires, racing stripe, black out the rear lights, convert the front to HID, spoiler and splitter, suicide doors...
You will have a very interesting looking and worse performing van.
On that note, can you explain the purpose of a spoiler on a front wheel drive car? Push the back down so the front gets less traction?

But I can run a spoiler it is Rear wheel drive (one of the reasons I went with Ford, plus no part shortage at wrecking yards, soccer fields, or malls)..
It is pretty low already see the missing side step, opps previous owner.

I know you can, just a sidetrack thinking back to my civic days

it's not low unless you "couldn't run over Ghandi let alone a speed bump"

This is why I did not get the all wheel drive version....needed to limited the mods to the Delica...
The first thing my older son said when he climbed in was can we cut the roof off and raise it? what makes this worse was I was already wondering how close my VW pop top is to fitting....ahhhhhhh stop me I need help

I had a friend once tell me "Never buy a model from Ford that has the word 'star' in its name."
At least it was cheap, though. My sister hasn't spent more than 1000$ buying a vehicle in the past ten years - she's had about five of them - and she figures she's still ahead in the game. She's
probably right, although I still think she should have bought a Canter.
