Hi,

Already used the search function and I've found the part numbers for both the Hi and Low beams bulbs.. I'm interested in the brightest bulb I can get from either Canadian tire or NAPA.

I get the PIAA Intense White H3 bulbs. They are 55 watt with a discharge of 85w low and 110w high for $55 for a set of two and one year warranty from PIAA and I picked them up at Overseas Auto on Main Street Vancouver. Best price on PIAA. I know your looking for NAPA etc but if you want bright this is what I suggest without going to a HID. The discharge is 4100K and its not that strange annoying to look at blue hue. They are WHITE and travel far illuminating far on high and reflective surfaces glow well (deer eyes).

X2, I used these on my L300 and they made a HUGE difference. I was extremely satisfied with these in my van.

Thanks for the info guys! It's getting dark early here now and the old headlights just won't cut it. I'll see if I can find the PIAA up here.

If you are using PIAA don't bother with Lordco unless you have an account or can barter like a vietnamese street vendor. I saw the price was $55 from PIAA and went to Lordco and asked for them, they first said $125, then quickly changed that to $75 when they saw my disgust and said that's the best they can do. So maybe just buy from overseasauto.com or direct from PIAA. They'll ship to your place and it is usually quite quick. Lordco tends to mark up all their PIAA merchandise to ridiculous prices.

My l400 stock headlights have to be change too. I am going to Oversea Auto for sure to get the bulbs. Just wondering what is the right one for L400. I only need low beam ,is it H -4 ?

That should give you a good idea. But if you just bring your Deli there they will know. I think H4 is the dual and H3 is single but those are mainly used on fog lights and such. Yours may be an H11 but again just check the first page description of the PDF link I posed and that should give you a good idea.

One more thing... If you are looking for LED's for anything don't buy anywhere else than http://www.autolismo.com. This guy is local (Vancouver) and gets this stuff from china so its cheap! All other stores charge way to much for LED's and he has everything you need to outfit your deli or Pajero's interior and exterior lights. Give him reference # 68405 and I get a discount

Be aware that if you put in higher wattage bulbs that you run the risk of burning out your 15 years plus headlight switch. The solution to preventing that problem is to install relays to take the load off the headlight switch. Cheers Jay TardisDeli

The draw is still 55watts however the discharge of light is that of a 110watt bulb. But yes... It is still a good idea to install a relay for this.

I had the same prob on my L300...
The Brand of headlight housing can make a huge difference as well...i had the Saueast.....I cant remember the name...then I ran the JDM ones and now I run the Depot lights with the PIAA...Depot housings are by far the best.

You mean Soueast and yes they are a poorer light compared to the Depot. Unfortually we have the Soueast ones

Will these replace most of the interior bulbs on an L300?
