Sorry for making a new post about this, but my previous topic on this is in the locked parts forum. Here's the link to the previous thread:

So after a few emails to Rich D (which mostly went ignored), I got the impression he doesn't seem interested in selling EGR removal kits. Anyways, this puts me back to square one: anyone know of any other people or shops that sell this kit in Vancouver area? I'll probably have to resort to the ebay kits, which brings me to my next question: doing a quick search of "delica egr" on ebay comes up with a few results for (very) slightly different kits. Does anyone have any recommendations or have one of these kits in theyd use?

RichD just got back from driving across Canada you might try him again.

I just installed a kit that I got from England. It was on eBay and was 9 pounds ($14.50) it came very quickly and fit like a glove. All new hardware was included and color instruction.
Search the UK eBay site and you should have no problems.

Here's the kits available, they all seem to be from the UK. From what I can tell, there are two different kits here: One seems to have a new gasket, which seems nice, but is it necessary?

Am I thinking too much into this, or is a kit a kit?

A little, don't bother with the stainless and the gaskets, as the stainless doesnt look very thick, and you need it to be thick to be nice and rigid to seal well. Just get thick mild steel one, and slap on some silicone gasket goo on the inlet side, and some exhaust paste on the exhaust side. Jobs a goodun.

That kit looks like it is for blanking the EGR, leaving the the EGR in place but sliding a blanking plate between the flanges. The other kit would be for deleting the EGR, thicker plates but you can get rid of it completely.

Phew, finally figured it all out! Hopefully I'll have my EGR kit as of next week, thanks to Chris! Thanks for all the help once again everyone.

Just as an update to this thread:

Rich D has since gotten back to me regarding EGR kits. He's been quite helpful and does apparently have full EGR removal/pyrometer kits, so if anyone else is looking for these kits he's still around! I think I may still get a pyro probe and gauge from him soon myself.

I have his gauge setup and it rocks! Love it. Nicest feature is the warning light you can set for when you go over your EGT temp you set.

Does the probe in these have to attach to the egr blanking plate? If so, you should keep in mind that it only takes the temperature from 1 cylinder.

Is it too late to get in on this? I still haven't blanked my egr.

Doesn't the spot where the probe goes in (on the plate where the egr was removed) go tithe turbo, not the cylinders? That's what I understood - though I haven't started this project still, so I'm probably wrong! Can anyone elaborate?

We'll have to wait for someone more experienced to chime in, I'm just passing along information I've been told.

The EGR is attached to the exhaust manifold pre-turbo, therefore it takes the temperature of the exhaust gases out of the cylinders. The L300 is more direct from the rear cylinder, the L400 appears to be less direct from one cylinder due to a difference of placement and manifold design.
