Anyone interested? I can still make these if there is any interest. If so, I will make a proper posting in the Delica trader. I know I tread closely to breaking the rules by posting this here, and things have been so peaceful lately, but I can't imagine anyone would notice this among the oil filters and timing belts.

Spray paint. I took the switch apart, painted the face, put it back together. I did it back when I made a wenge (dark brown) console for my van. The black just didn't look very good, and the white looked awesome. Now I have a white switch, and it is a bit incongruous with the bamboo. It doesn't bother me enough to repaint it though.

I remember seeing you post these before. I am definitely interested if you decide to make some.

I have had mine for a year and a half and can firmly state the following:
1.The cost is well worth the money.
2. Everyone who sees the console is in love with it, Everyone.
3. Very functional, and holds lots of stuff. Way better than the original.
4. I like the lower version more so than the higher one, I find that resting my forearm/elbow is more comfortable/ergonomic.
5. Quality is outstanding, it will be the last thing standing on the deli.
6. The additional coffee cup holder console is perfect and has additional hidden storage for less used items: lotions, potions, sunscreen, Kleenex, wipes, etc. So they are not rolling around inside the vehicle.
7. Glenn is an artist, and this is art, it it probably the best piece of art that you can buy (looks and function)
8. It was the one thing that I spent money on the deli without the wife questioning my decisions, she loves it. OK she did not question a new stereo either, especially after a year without one.
9. Rugged and well built.
10. We need to support original vendors, as they use their talents to help us when we have none of out own.
What is could benefit from is a divider in the first two inches to hold items like pens etc. This is the only thing I could think of that I would change (very minor/personal preference)

Very Nice! This would be sweet with a matching bass bin at the floor beneath it. I wonder if these could be stained grey to compliment my interior?

The VurvBox by Glen is my favourite part of the TardisDeli. Anyone wanting to see it is welcome. I have had it 3 ish years, and it is so STURDY. We climb over it to get into the back when camping so we don't open the doors and let cold air in the van, and Jay is a solid 6foot3 so you know the VurvBox is strong. My whitewater canoe rests on it so that shows how tough the finish is, even the canoe can't damage it. I had Glen make the front half the length of magazines and Backroads Map books, and the back half is the remainder of the space, and the depth is quite tall (milk jug height) so we can rest our elbows on while driving. The mug holder is actually more useful to me as a catch-all, for pens and pencils and coins and phones etc. Cheers, Christine.

I posted this, then forgot to watch my own topic! Thanks so much for the testimonials. I care a lot (too much sometimes)about what people think of my work - and it makes my day that after a year and a half (more for Christine) that you still like the vurv box so much!
I agree about using the cup holders as catch alls - after all the fuss I made about finding a place to put a cupholder, mine usually contains my cellphone, a pack of gum, etc.
If anyone is interested, I will still make one for $350. Just PM me to work out the details. I can also accommodate special requests for partitioning the interior of the box if it's desired. Thanks for looking!

When you're typing out your topic, or replying to a thread, check the box immediately beneath the text box labelled "Notify me when a reply is posted" and that way you'll be... notified when a... well, you get the point.
BTW: I wish there was a comparable Pajero vurv-box. I've built something of my own, and while it's functional, it's not the same as a vurvbox.

Ditto, I would love to replace some of the blue explosion going on in mine..

Any plans to make a vurv box for the big void between the seats in the L400?

Hey MitSurfbishi,
Unfortunately no.
The reason one exists for L300s is that it's what I drive - I have lots of time to think about it, and I don't mind putting a lot of time into it, because it's for me. Once I've made one, I use it as a prototype, and I have all the appropriate jigs, etc.
My experience with the L300 console has been that lots of people say they like them, and are interested, but very few people are actually willing to spend the $350-$400 to buy one. And even at this price, I'm not making much money relative the amount of time I put into them. I would need to have a commitment for at least 5 - preferably closer to 10 to make the design/prototyping worthwhile.
Thanks for asking though - maybe one day I'll get an L400, but it won't be anytime soon.
