I will start by saying my computer is making this wierd shape É instead of a question mark.. lol
On other more important topics though, I have my wagon pieced back together. and now it has a slight rough idle.
It seems to idle then miss for a split second then keep idling away.
If you up the rpm it still does this miss.
Here is a video: its a little hard to hear the miss, but its there if you listen closely. Any ideasÉ

Re: Rough Idle
Is it only doing that while cold, or does it do it all the time? I've found mine is a bit rougher of late (now that I've had it 1.5 years) and I think it might have something to do with the ULSD I'm pouring into it (been reading a lot about that and what it can do to older diesels that were designed with sulfur in the fuel).
As for your computer making an accented "e" instead of a question mark, sounds like you've inadvertently selected a French keyboard. Is the computer second-hand? Regardless, look in your control panel (I'm assuming you've got a Windoze-box) and make sure you've only got an English keyboard chosen. Unless you also type stuff in Lithuanian, and then keep that keyboard selected for the appropriate programs.

Re: Rough Idle
HI, Great idea to UTube it. Air starvation will cause rough idle, my L300 sounds exactly like yours. Sounds like Time to change the air filter. Yeah Yeah, too simple you say....just do it, even if it looks cleanish...this is the solution 90 percent of time. Your idle sounds a bit low to me, but do NOT adjust yet.
Next, replace fuel filter (simple, makes huge difference, and if you want to use an injector cleaner, pour some directly into the fuel filter for maximum direct cleaning of injectors and lines when you replace filter, then fill filter to top with diesel so you eliminate as much air as possible from filter before re installing), pump the air out of pump if you can before starting engine.
Regards, Christine.

Re: Rough Idle
Sorted the the issue out... the pajero went full retard and everyone knnows you dont go full retard...
in normal people terms, the guy who owned the engine previously, upon removal had unbolted the pump and then reinstalled it and did not set it properly. all is well, she is a beast.
