L400 rear springs

Hey guys,

Just wondering if there are any experts that know if the L400 rear springs are the same size and similar spring rate to a LWB pajero? I know some drive line parts are the same or similar, but Im pretty sure the L400 is part unibody?

Im looking for around 2-3" rear lift as I'm bottoming out with four of us loaded with racks for camping etc. I can't find a wrecked LWB Pajero to pillage, so figured the L400 may come through for me?

Orrr, does anyone have experience with getting custom springs made? Not looking forward to paying for shipping OME or something from AUS. Do they last as long as OEM or OME? And is a progressive spring worth the extra $$?

:M

The closet on OEM coils are landrover if you want to lift 40mm and have a hard ride (unless ur carrying a constant load)

As for pajero - wrong answer like most parts in these cars...they do share some common bits like the engine block - but there are many variations in the motor, upper ball joints, side indicators on some models

Many people buy the 16mm 20mm up coil here for being all round capability and forget OEM as only 14mm and just too light for any duration unless on flat concrete roads. Cheers ad weight is about 9kg a pair

Any idea what year or model is a direct swap?

Thanks.
