Just to get a bit more info on this, does anybody know where I can find a set of these Bilstein's that will replace my non lifted ECS shocks?

I found a new part number for that shock from the Part Number Change Cross Reference Sheet - Bilstein
F4-B46-2109-H0 new number is 24-021098 651860642659
Looks like it may be available locally.
Hope this helps.

Thinking about new shocks as well. How difficult is to change them diy on the L400?

Not difficult at all. First have a look with a flashlight so you know where the front and rear shocks are.
Ensure you have the right matchup for top and bottom shock ends, lift it up on solid ground, use jack stands and take the wheels off. Good lighting and the right size metric tools, gloves, penetrating fluid, coveralls plus a friend to help.
Expect to get your hands dirty. Don't be afraid to swear when the bolts are frozen. Bolts always loosen easier when you swear at them. If you can't swear then use penetrating fluid.
Good luck

Thanks a lot! Will do that on a lazy weekend

Is it possible to do it without jackstands, just with a regular jack to change tires, one shock at a time?

That's not the safest way to work under a vehicle but you could use wooden blocks also. If you buy stands you'll always have them to use for the next job.

I haven't been able to find the rears (F46-2111-HO, with ECS) anywhere, and there doesn't seem to be a new 24-... part number on that conversion sheet. Anyone else have the same issue, or better yet, a solution?? Are Bilsteins just no longer an option in the back of a stock L400?
