We're just about to buy a Delica and would like to run it on Biodiesel. I know about the co-op in Vancouver but they well B100 and I understand that while it's good it also can really effect the engine (someone said it'll destroy a lot of the hoses and stuff - I don't know that much about biodiesel effects on the engine). So we'd like to start slow and use B20 or B40 but I'm having a hard time finding anywhere in the lower mainland that sells it. I found a website with info about where to buy it in Washington state...can any one help? And how often did you have to change hoses, filters etc once you switched over to Biodiesel?

you can run the Delica happily on B100 from the coop in Van. That's what I used to do.

Just have the injection pump seals replaced with viton one's

Hey there. I signed up for the "Key to the Highway" through United Petroleum, which is for all the cardlocks that the commercial rigs use.

They have cardlock stations in Whistler, North Van and Burnaby as well as across the province, but I use the one at the bottom of 16 Bewicke Ave. in North Van.

You get a couple of swipe cards. One is for the pumps that belong to Esso, and it's a dark blue card that says "Key to the highway" on it. That's for the regular diesel. The other is a white card that you use for the biodiesel pumps. You need to fill out a credit application, and then you get billed once a month.

Thanks for posting that; I ran into a woman who was using the Terminal Av.e co-op stuff for a while but claimed that they are having supplier issues and that the pumps are often shut down This one in NVan sounds like a good alternative.

I'd rather add 2% biodiesel than 2-stroke oil as an additive (which is what I'm doing now)

I use the one in whistler. It's hit and miss. It's been closed a few times this winter.

Joey runs his hummers (outdoor adventures) on bio and Les has a good wvo setup out his diner (southside). If you know anyone linked to those two, you've got access to some additional bio and wvo. There's a few guys along the sea to sky corridor as well. More notably, Scott and Shayne at switchover.
