Hello, i just recently stumbled upon a 1987 l300 gas 2wd van, and have been working on restoring it. These things are so super rare in the us it's hard to find any kind of support, especially for future plans such as diesel and 4wd conversions. I love this van and can just imagine what a full blown delica could do.

HI Tan Van Man, welcome to the cult.

I am one of the few to have actually seen and crawled around inside one of the 2wd USA versions. Very similar, yet so very different.

Our local expert on the 2WD USA Delica is the wonderful Glen White, qualified Journeyman mechanic and owner of CC Autos (Coombs Country Autos, on Vancouver Island). He spent many months rebuilding one. By the way, altho the frames look very similar with yours and the gas L300 from Japan that we all drive, they are not the same (you cannot drop your vehicle onto one of our 4x4 frames).

Can you make it to the CVI Annual instructional day, to learn all about repairs and maintenance of the deli. If so, can you go via Marysville, Washington to pick up DelicaDJ who lives there and wants a ride to the CVI meet. You get free accomodation at our home, and a deli-meet organised just for you, and heaps of good karma for your Delica.

Cheers, Christine.

I can provide the address to anyone willing to pick me up! ;-) My house is just off the 200 exit, down 88th street past the RR tracks 8-)

Unfortunately it just happened this past weekend. There is a swap meet next weekend though if the two of you can make it!?

Definitely looking forward to the Swap Meet! :-) It's easy to find my house, though the driveway is somewhat hidden :-D

Where is the swap meet going to be held? Is it all weekend? If not, which day?
