hello all. i'm driving my delica from vancouver down the i-5 to san jose to watch hockey, and then back up the coast home. can anyone offer advice regarding points along the way where i might be able to find service and parts for the deli if necessary? does anyone know of a website that maps out fuel stations where diesel is available?
cheers

I-5 nearly all stations have diesel....diesel fuel is very common in the US propane is hard to find.
Any good mechanic can work on a Delica...no idea of shops as I do my own work.
It might be worth dropping it off a CVI or CCauto (not sure on your location) to have a pre-trip inspection done as preventive maintenance is never a bad idea....piece of mind.
Hockey? That is game played with the black and white ball?

actually, hockey's played by white dudes on skates. it's fast and physical;)
cheers for the tip. i dont have time to take it to cvi, but i had a mechanic i'm familiar with change the oil and give it a once over a couple of weeks back. it's had regular maintenance through glen and his boys in coombs. i think it's cool (knock on wood).
cheers again for the response.

Diesel is plentiful, but Shell stations (in Washington, at least) don't take Canadian credit cards at the pump. Chevron do. Look for the green "diesel" sign. Be warned: diesel is more expensive than premium gas.
Americans aren't used to seeing such vehicles. You'll get a lot of "what is that?" looks, as well as "who's driving?" I remember driving past Northgate Mall in Seattle when an older Japanese gentleman in a pickup saw Gumdrop, knew exactly what he was looking at, and grinned from ear to ear.

Are you sure all shell stations are like that? I've purchased gas with a Canadian visa, master card and 2 debit cards from 2 separate shell stations. One was in point Roberts which makes sense and the other was somewhere between peacearch and Seattle

I recently swiped my Canadian MC at Shell on I-5 near Billingham with no problem. I also paid for bread by Canadian cash in a small shop.

Shrug. Maybe it's just in Seattle. Maybe they've changed - it's a while since I tried.
YMMV.
