Victoria Mechanic for my leaking Delica L400

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the Victoria area to take a look at Starbug when I get back from being here in South Carolina? As I mentioned prior, I had a bad high pressure oil leak near the turbo. It appears from what I can see that a high pressure line cracked and burst. But, I don't know this for sure.

Obviously, I can't drive it. Therefore, it has to be towed, so the mechanic has to be close.

Recommendations for fixing Starbug?

my best advise to you is tow it to Coombs, or convince them to get it with their flat deck tow truck. i never heard of a good delica mechanic in Vic

Would Noel at Enviroimports not be a good person to ask about mechanics at least!?

Hi Sorry to hear of your troubles. Call John at E4 autos / Radd Cruisers in Duncan.http://www.e4autorepair.com/ Ph. 250-746-8977 they do great work and know the 4m40. Tiger Towing is just up the road and you may be able to get a haul back if they are delivering anything to Victoria. Good Luck

Sorry to hear the situation you are in. :-( I have to agree with After Oil and this confirms it for me, that there is no good mechanic/auto shop trust worthy enough here in Victoria. The only one I know is Mariigold but I have read and heard so many horror stories dealing with them. DO NOT USE THEM.

For myself if I was ever in an emergency situation and I couldn't get off the island I would use E4. They are a bit pricey when it comes to servicing as I have talked to John before but I have not seen any negative reviews.

Lucky for me I do get over to Vancouver at least once every 3 to 4 months so I will usually pop in to see Butch at CVI or Mardy at Amazing Auto and have them do my oil change and than have them do a maintenance check and see if anything else needs to be done.

Hope your problem gets resolved. 8-)

Got it fixed at E4 - believe it or not, the Oil Filter had come loose or the seal was bad - I am not sure which.

if its just a high presure hose, its an easy fix, take the hose off, get a ride to Coast Industrial , they are on the side road next to willie dodge, as long as you have both ends, they can remake the hose with any thing you want, I like to get them to do the sexy steel braid lines,
They will make the hose while you wait, Ive never had to wait more than about ten min, even if you had a taxi waiting, its alot better than towing your van, or paying someone to run a shop kid to coast to get the hose made.

John Barron in Duncan is great to have work done , he is a diesel guy and had lots of right hand drives around at all times.
