Hey all!
We have another new member who would like to tour our buses! Tallula has introduced herself and is looking to purchase a Deli. Welcome Tallula!

I know a few of us have been wanting to get back out to Ghost/Waiparous to try to get further back into Waiparous Valley. Would Saturday, March 19th be a good date? Alternatively, the weekend after that?

Also, anyone wanting to meet for an evening at Peter's say next Wednesday? Would be great to get together again and give Tallula an opportunity to view a few of our rides and compare the different models.

I am hoping we can get more Calgary members out than ever before. Good times are promissed!

I'll be coming back from bc this wed but would like to try and get out on the exploration on the 19 th if possible..... maybe see if the new members want to come with us and see what the possibilities of these vans are....

I just realized that I have another committment on Wednesday - company "team building" at an art studio - so that day won't be good for me anyway. Could do the following Wed.

Would be great to get back out on the 19th though. Hopefully we can get a good crew along again. I will try to PM as many members as I can find this evening to make sure the word gets out.

Anyone without a Delica (or Pajero) is welcome to come out too, of course. No better way to get a good idea of what a Delica can do and see some sights you might not normally see.

Thanks Ian We would be able to get together on the Wed evening or anytime after 4pm on the 19th. We wouldn't be able to come out any earlier as my oldest has his 5th Birthday party at noon. Thank you so much for thinking of us. It's truly appreciated.

Next Wednesday I am in Banff for a conference, but the following Wednesday (the 23nd) I would be open for a Peter's meet

As for a Waiparous outing, I might be available to make it the 19th, though not for sure... the weekend after would be more do-able.

Hi all! I got my lift kit installed and a bigger set of tires on the van. I trimmed the wheel wells and she looks great . We took her out last weekend for a test ride and had had some fun out there. We will be able to make the weekend trip out and will try to make it for the mini meet.

Due to schedule conflicts this coming Wednesday, perhaps we should set Wednesday the 23rd at 7pm for the Peter's Drive-in meet.

I would really like to get out for our adventure on the 19th if at all possible but, if we can get more out on the 26th, we can set that as an alternate date. Please provide any feedback on that if you are able so I can judge which day is best. Was everyone who came out last time happy with the schedule from February?

I have sent PM's to those whose names I have on file other than those I know have seen this. Please spread the word!

Hey Jag,

As you know Wednesdays are hard for me these days, but will always try to come to Peters.

I am waiting for warm weather to fix my oil leak. Once repaired, I will be ready for the Ghost.

I'll try my best to make it to both the mini-meet and excursion. The 19th works better for me as I leave town on the 27th for a couple weeks and would like the day on the 26th to get ready.

Also, if we want to Tallula to get a peek at the herd of Delicas, maybe we should just meet up at the Petro-Can on Hwy1 and 22 instead of the Co-op. Then they could bring the family down for 20 minutes or so before we blast off and still have time for their kid's birthday after-wards. Would also cut out a stop and if people want, I'm pretty sure there is a diner at the Petro-Can for a greasy breakfast.

White Mule... good to hear from you! I remember your Wed committments - not an intentional oversight on that... just thought I would schedule a weekday meet to give an opportunity to new members and aspiring members to get a good look at the vans and meet some of the group. It would be more awesome if you can make it out for the outting. Hope you get your oil issue resolved.

Now... Looks like the date for our outting will be March 19th for sure. I don't object to making our primary meeting point at the Petro-Can. If people wish to have a breakfast there that is no problem at all. I suggest then that we leave the Petro-Can to head out to Ghost/Waiparous at about 10:00am. I will let everyone decide what time they want to arrive at the Petro-Can to give themselves time to have breakfast and have a little gathering.

Make sure you all bring the usual stuff if you have it. Tow straps and any safety gear, FRS radios, etc. We will also have a lunch out in the field somewhere as we did before so bring a lunch as well.

Let's hope for some great weather! Looking forward to getting out there and seeing all of you along for the ride!

Might I suggest the Tim's in Cochrane -- on west side of Hwy 22 just south of 1A intersection. Much closer than the Petro-Can at Hwy 1, esp. for those in the north of Calgary or Airdrie how would come west on Crowchild & 1A and would have to go south just to come back north.

I hope to make it, will have to see how school schedule is.

My ride blew a rear centre brake line and its on order. Hope to have the brake line in and bleed for the trip . I am still no clear on the dates, But i am good to go wed any time .But the 19 is out any other time is good.

So we are clear on the dates:
March 19th - departing from Petro-Can at Hwy 1 & Hwy 22 at 10am - Club adventure to Waiparous Valley.
March 23rd - 7pm - Club meet at Peter's Drive-in.

Thanks for the tip Erebus but I would like to keep the meeting place at the Petro-Can at this point only because everyone can fuel up themselves and their vehicles there. I don't want to confuse anyone who has already seen the plans and may not look back to check on any changes. Certainly next time.

As noted before, I will let everyone decide when they wish to arrive at Petro-Can to allow for those who wish to eat there.

Sorry we will miss you at the outting NoDelie... you will be missed but hopefully we will be able to catch up at Peter's.

We'll show up around 9:30am at the Petro-Can. We're in a dark grey Toyota Tundra. I can't wait to see one, up close, for the first time!
We're also planning on meeting up at Peter's on Wed. :) Thanks for thinking of us!

Won't be able to make the outing on the 19th because of a birthday party invite that day, and may be meeting up with Einstein on his way through to Saskatchewan after picking up his new ride, but should be at Peter's on the 23rd. See you then!
