Headlight or Bulb replacement?

Driver's side bulb is burnt out. This is a '90 Pajero - box type - with what looks to be a 7" round headlight.

It's an H4 bulb as I understand... Will these headlights allow a bulb replacement or am I replacing the whole thing?

Any instruction on replacing it would help as well...this doesn't look like an easy change out. Lot's of stuff in the way on the inside and the outside looks like I have to remove the outer trimming of the light to pull it out.

I've searched the forum and can't find anything...

Well when i picked up my 89 it to had a burnt out light. To pass safety i did put a head light in. Now i have one flat light (factory ) one bug eye looking one . It was not until a few months later i found out it had the halogen bulbs or replaceable bulbs. Cool i can have the factory look again. Did so via removing the grill and signal lights and head light bezels.

Thanks NoDelie...and as to our conversation and the sharing of info... I came across the following.

No it'll be a matter of finding out if it's a DOT or the original Koito. Apparently the lights have to be changed so hopefully it wasn't missed...

Check if it is sealed-beam or not. Sealed-beams are sealed and must have the whole unit replaced, despite using an H4/9003/HB2 bulb. If you do have sealed-beams you can upgrade to DOT or E-Code conversion lamps [http://www.rallylights.com/hella/HeadlampsMain.aspx]. These fit perfectly in the sealed-beam housing, yet the H4/9003/HB2 bulb can be replaced. As well the conversion lamps are much brighter.

Thanks for the reply Mich...it ended up being just the bulb - H4. Walked into crappy tire...9.99. Changed it in the parking lot. That air hose was a bit of a pain to get back on but not too bad really...

As a side I discovered the wiper blades are 17".
