CVI and JDMConnection --> Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks to both Will at JDMConnection and Butch at CVI for their help in importing my L400.

Will found me the perfect Delica after not much longer then a week of searching, a 1994 Silver L400, 2.8TD, Crystal Lite Roof, with Low (56) Km. All that and came into budget just as he promised.

However I am from Winnipeg, so picking it up, and timing it clearing customs was a bit of a challenge. I knew I wanted Butch at CVI to do a Delica Tune as soon as it arrived, as I was planning on driving it back, and no sense in finding *shoulda's, and *if only's when your in Winnipeg, after all I wanted to drive it back from Vancouver to Winnipeg :)

So I msg'd Butch on this forum and asked if he could squeeze me in, even with the timing being a bit variable. The issue was my flight arrived at 5:00pm on Friday, but I was hoping to have the vehicle ready to go, and drive back at that point, not wait around until Monday to clear it from Customs then book it in etc. Well Butch not only fit in my servicing, he even picked up the vehicle for me, brought it back to his shop, serviced it, and EVEN came and pickup me and my son at the airport. Now thats service!

Working on the on the Delica can be time consuming when theres a big list of things to do, and thankfully too, because our flight was delayed because of snow, not arriving until almost 6:00pm, I felt bad and was worried I was making Butch wait for us, but Butch came and got us and brought us back to the shop where they were still working hard to finish the wheel alignment. So in a sense things worked out not bad at all. All in all, I had a Delica Tune, Alignment, new brakes in the front, new battery, air filter, and oil+filter, coolant and thermostat, and the fuel filter replaced. By around 7:00 she was ready to go, and made it the 3500ish km back to Winnipeg without issue (I bought some BFGR AT KO's 30x9.5's along the way). We had to go via Edmonton as the #1 was closed due to Avalanche for 4-5 days.

I wouldn't have found the perfect vehicle and got it here underbudget and headache and hassle free without Will, and I wouldn't have got it back home, safe and sound without Butch and his team at CVI. So a big thanks guys :)

Just wanted to add I have since imported 2 more cars through Will @ JDM Connection, great service, both were in impeccable shape, good finds! Also just contacted CVI for some more work to be done on the latest import. Two great business to know when importing JDM cars! :)
