This is a neat concept, still lacking on numbers though. I'd be interested to see what BMW boasts.

Tesla will set up a supercharger network in major US cities and Canada over the next 6 months. What’s great about these superchargers is that charging will be free indefinitely for Tesla owners. Under 1/2 an hour for 3 hours of driving. The super charger stations are solar powered. Pretty awesome. Now that are CO2 levels are up to 400ppm, the highest they have been in 3 million years, it's good to see electric is becoming viable.
Incidentally, 400ppm puts us on track for a 2 Celcius temperature change in the next 15years - which would mean thawing of the permafrost and massive amounts of methane and CO2 being released from that which will accelerate further warming. Goodbye Richmond.

Ok, I'm warming to the idea now as a city commuter. That's still a lot longer than fueling, but not bad and definitely less expensive. I've seen a lot more of their cars on the road which is a good sign. Have you checked out their new motorcycle? That sounds like an amazing machine, I wonder about the safety of a noiseless bike though.

CO2 levels are not quite up to 400ppm yet...at least in the Okanagan. I've got two Li-Cor LI6400 gas exchange systems that both hover around 390ppm C02 in the reference chambers. If I look at my data files from 2002 they hovered around 370ppm.

I think the 400 ppm is as measured in mauna loa in Hawaii. Regardless, there is good reason to be alarmed. Here is what 10 NASA scientists think.

Frack it up Christy! If all 5 of BC's LNG projects are developed, the resulting greenhouse gas emissions will be nearly as high as AB's oil sands.

Interesting data from a climate change course I'm taking through the University of Melbourne. Keep in mind that their electricity is provided by burning coal.
