Colin tells me that he uses the latest version, ASA, not CAPS, and his is password protected from Mitsubishi.

Is there any way to read the model month in the 1995's auction sheet??
thanks

don't auction sheets only show first registration and not when the vehicle was built.

The auction reports will just show the first registration, not manufacture date. The manufacture dates can be decoded quite easily from a variety of online resources if you have the chassis number.
Here is a questions for anyone that may have some imput:
Chassis code PD4W-0001692. This is a petrol model with the double moon roof. My question is that does it have the crystal light roof ? Any way to tell from the chassis number ?

William you should have another group of alphabet numbers followed by a 1 or 2. The 1 stand for twin sunroof and 2 is for crystalite roof.

PF8W is the code for a l400 LWB, High roof, 2.8L Diesel, but is there a different number for High roof without crystal light?
Also what would be the code for Manual vs. Automatic?
It will be easier to make sense of the model code if you open the first page in a new tab or window. Hold down <Ctrl> or <Shift> and click on
1 at the top or bottom of this page.
I'll take the 5/1994 release Delica Space Gear Exceed II as an example.
- KD-PE8W-HSNHF… Transmission type=N… 5-speed manual transmission (Floor Shift)
KD-PE8W-HSEHF… Transmission type=E… 4-speed automatic transmission (Column Shift)
You can see the difference in the roof in the suffix, which is an equipment code, of the model code.
- KD-PE8W-HSEHF… suffix=None… plain (high roof, in this instance)
KD-PE8W-HSEHF2… suffix=2… crystal lite roof
Didn't see this link yet in the thread, so hopefully I'm not repeating a post...

Tony.

You posted the VIN number, what you need is the model code, it is also stamped on the same plate, however is NOT part of the VIN number.
If you can't see if it has a crystal lite roof, you will also have no way to look up the model code.

from the pictures you can tell it is a low roof, short wheel base, petrol (gasoline) model
low roof vehicles can not have the crystal lite roof

Looks like a low roof to me. So no crystal lights...

It may have the 2 aero sunroofs but it is hard to tell. It is a bottom of the range model so it probably doesn't. You can tell by the white bar and steps. It would sell for virtually nothing so if you are after a cheap one that would be the go.. Cheers

unfortunately, with all the added costs of paperwork, shipping, customs, more paperwork, etc, the difference between a "cheap" one and an "expensive" one from auction, turns out to be very little by the time it ends up in Canada, it's hardly worth trying to save money on a low end model...

I agree that seems like a bit of a waist of time but I have to say that a few of the Delicas I have seen here for sale have been the cheap low spec models. Super exceed or Royal like yours are the exception rather than the rule. I keep seeing the words "fully loaded" which usually only refers to models with all the options. That tag seems to be on almost every one I have seen.. Cheers..

It's too early to tell on the L400 front, but on the L300s the most common ones in Canada are the Super Exceeds (top of the line for L300, as the royal wasn't introduced until the L400) there certainly are many others around, but the higher end ones are more common.
the reason to go for the lower end ones is more for availability than price, it's probably easier to find a low spec vehicle in good condition as there are likely more to choose from.
