We'll see. The Royal exceed looks like it comes with some nice features that our current lwb doesn't have. May sell or give the shorty to my sis. Depends on our funds at home. Jpy rate is bad now. I should have bought yen last week.
Also noticed some of Kei King's ad's (notice the little king's hat) on Terra2's site. I'd prefer to save the extra 1k instead of giving to them but I give them credit for their polished site and good links.
Yeah, I saw that. Terra2 does a good job of posting available vans on a nicely laid out website. But if you can find the original dealers for their 'dealer' vans then you can save yourself much more than their $1,000 commission. If you look at their cost break down they list the CIF price from Brave Auto as the vehicle cost, then tag on another $2,495 CAD for export costs, plus their $1,000 commission. Right their they've added on $3,500 as opposed to going direct to the dealer. Then they are charging you 5.0% GST on Vehicle FOB ($504), which translates to 5.0% tax on $10,080 CAD, which I guess is their vehicle cost plus their export cost ($8,322 + $2,495 = $10,817). But from what I've heard you only need to pay GST on the actual vehicle cost, not on shipping costs. So GST should be more around the $300 mark.
Do you pay duty on all costs, or just on the vehicle cost? My guess is just on the vehicle cost, so duty should be more like $366 then $508. So all things considered it looks like they've padded this van by about $4,000, instead of the $1,000 commission they are claiming. Anyone see anything wrong with my math?

Your about bang on there bud. I have no bad things to say about T2, but do wonder if it's a legality issue for them by advertising a set fee and actually making alot more than that.
Does anyone know if when they import a vehicle into the country it's in their name ? Or the buyer ? I mean who is on the form 1 ?

I see nothing wrong with your math at all. I find it a little questionable at the least that it states on there page that all they charge is the $1000, but several posts have pointed out that they also pad the prices, not a problem ethically if you don't say that you only charge a certain amount that is much less than that.
