So, it appears no one has been to Japanoid? ... nor Terra2? :o
I'm going to want some basic preventive maintenance and thorough check up of all systems.

If you want to spend big $$$, then go to Japanoid.
Terra2 is an importer and not a garage.

Go to CVI or AmazingAuto Imports (Mardy)

Japanoid has had generally pretty good reviews, more so from people who also imported through them. It sounds like they take care of their customers.

Terra2... they may have some form of a service shop too, but generally they're only known as an importer.

Green1, have you been to T2? They send all their imported vehicles to a independent garage to North Van. Period.

Also I talked to at least five Delica owners over the last couple months who had their service done at Japanoid. NONE of them were happy. Either way overcharged or just didn't solve the problem. It used to be a good place to go, but now with that many options in Van there are much better places.

I've met Mardy and he seems like he'd be a really good guy to deal with. However, he basically indicated that he's got more than enough to do servicing what he's sold or will sell. I got the distinct impression that he didn't want to service vehicles from other sources. I suppose it's possible he was over stating the situation a bit so as to incline me more towards buying from him as I had not yet, at that point, decided what vehicle I would buy. So now, with Mardy evidently not wanting to service my L400 purchased from Brave Auto, it looks like CVI will get the call. :-)
As for Terra2 not providing service; well, I can only go by their web site which indicates that they DO do service. Logistically, they or Japanoid would be best for me but as I want what's best for
Yoda and my wallet, your replies here have steered me to CVI. 8-)
Thanks! ...and stop bickering, OK?

There's a lot of confusion on the forum regarding mardy and servicing, Mardy doesn't really do servicing himself, he aligns with CVI to do the servicing, he's really just a seller. Now that said, he knows a LOT about these vehicles, and can probably turn the occasional wrench without too much trouble. But when people talk about taking a vehicle to Mardy for service, they often mean that they are taking it to CVI instead as the 2 work together pretty frequently.

Japanoid have looked after Gumdrop from the beginning, and I have been happy with the results.
