Regarding the turning, Luisito, Have you lifted your torsion bars? The wagon should be level when you look at it from the side, not leaning forward. Stiffer shocks can help but then you rattle to pieces on logging roads, I have an adjustable shock system, which I really like.

Ultimately, the reason you are feeling like the wagon is going to roll every time you make a left turn (especially going down hills) is because you are not used to driving on the low side of the camber (of the road), freaked me out a few times ~ you get used to it. I would seriously recommend cranking your torsion bars, 'though.

Falco.

Thanks for the tip Falco - I haven't done anything to the torsion bars but looking at the van with the naked eye I'd say it is pretty well level. I think you're right re it being more a perception given that I normally drive a left hand sports car.

I'm kind of bummed because I got a flat today... the dudes said the nail in the tire is on the side so they can't fix it, and they suggested I get all new tires on account of that as they don't have a replacement for the flat one. Hmmmm I'm going to get a second opinion.

Anyway in terms of the art stuff I gave it a crazy cleanup with a light sand, then using baking soda and a tough sponge - crazy how much gunk I got off! There was an actual white van under there! I took some Dawn degreaser soap and did another clean... and then I just got to drawing last night. It was getting late and dark so I had to stop. I'll see if I can take a pic this evening and post it.

Aren't they just the cat's ass?

P.S.: I really dig your Buddha, man. I like your use of shadow on the monkey, too. Keep posting, Luis!

Haha - speaking of which, woaw... my shocks and bushings JUST arrived! Must... stop... salivating... Anxiously waiting the good Dr. Farsang's 2" kit... then must plan a trip to Vancouver. I called CVI and apparently they're charging $475 to install a kit. More than I hoped...

Just finished a hummingbird and I'm working on the flower beside it to add some shading/depth: http://virilesoulcreations.weebly.com/moon-unit.html

The Tibetan mantra Om Mani Padme Hum on the back looks awesome - it was a bit of an adventure getting there though! I thought I'd save time by making an acetate stencil and spraypainting it - unfortunately I got some bleed/drip from the stencil and spent about half an hour with Q-tips and acetone cleaning it up. Incidentally the acetone didn't harm the body paint at all - mind you I kept it on for very little time.

The plan is to do a few more figures - maybe several more - then unite them with all manner of groovy swirling patterns.

It is $475 but I felt so much better having it installed professionally. The other thing you'll want to do is spend $100 on an alignment as well.

I've been told the alignment comes with the installing... :)

That could be, I may have paid $600 because I had a few other things done. :?

Things have been pretty hectic lately so I've been slow on the van-drawing and posting of pics. Some updated pics of Moon Unit PsycheDelica here: http://virilesoulcreations.weebly.com/moon-unit.html

I'm going to put several more figures in, then link them all with some groovy patterns...

So far the sharpie is holding up very well under the elements. The craziness should stop by this weekend so starting next week I'll be hitting that big white delicanvas hard!
