You sure were! You probably know already, but it's a common problem on the 4D56 caused by re-using the crank bolt when changing timing belt or whatever. The bolt is a stretch kind and one use only otherwise it ends up too long and bottoms out inside the crank without tightening onto the pulley allowing it movement.
