Nope, I've just been doing regular maintenance, a few other replacements / rebuilds etc. I got it for $4000 and no preventative maintenance had been done. I've also put about $5000 in in upgrades but I won't count that. Another $4000 or so to go...

I got bored at work the other day and started thinking up possible lyrics...

Here they are in no particular order...

I like big vans and I cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny, when a guy pulls up in a little smart car I say...
Hah, I drive a Delica.
Show me the use you get from that little car, I can camp in mine and do some 4X4.
I can run it on veggie oil from the sushi bar, added a tank so it can drive real far.
It's the van of the future but it's from the past, it don't have the biggest engine but it don't need to go fast.
I've got it lifted on 31's so I can catch a Jeep, the girlfriend in the front grabbing on to her seat.
It's a hippy van with a modern twist, would I buy one again? You don't have to twist my wrist.
It's like a vanagon but right hand drive, bigger in size, and it keeps out the flies.

Is any progress being made on coming up with a song?

I posted a 6 week follow up to hear it, but no reply. It's been 14 weeks now and "Phree" said it would take 3-4 weeks.

I don't think we're gonna have a delica song anytime soon.

Nice start on yours though! Nice job! 8-)

I don't mind trying to get the lyrics to work but I'm no singer and I'm just an amateur trumpet player so we'd need to find a band to get things rolling. Volunteers? :-D

Updated lyrics in no particular order:

(sorry about the spelling, it was typed quickly on my iPhone)

I like big vans and i connot lie, you other brothers cant deny, when a guy pulls up in a little smart car I said hah, I drive a delica. Show me the use you get from that little car, I can camp in mine and do some 4x4
I can run it on veggie oil from the sushi bar, added a tank so I can drive real far

I've got it lifted on 31's so I can catch a jeep, the girlfriend in the front grabbing on to her seat
It's a hippi van with a modern twist, would I buy it again? You don't gave to twist my wrist
It's like a vanogon but right hand drive, bigger in size and it keeps out the flies

I said Hah, I drive a delica
It's the best in show and it's the best for snow
They're the best little toys adored by girls and boys

My vans by baby, forget the wife and kids
My vans my baby, who needs these American rigs?

Who needs drugs to fly, I'm already riding high
It's taller than your truck, it's shorter than your car, you can park it with easy thanks to the mirrors and bullbar
It's the best damn van I can think of man
It'll take your friends and family all at once, there's no excuse for you to be climbing into the trunk
It's Japanese so it'll never quit, all you .. Are going to have a fit

It's unique and cool, it'll take you to school, it'll go offroad...watch out out fir that toad!

It takes skill to climb in and nerve to get out, if you can't manage give me a shout
