You won't be fine.
There is something out there that says you can't sell a newer than 25yr old vehicle in the US.
I called customs both can/us earlier this year when I was 'asked' if I could just simply drive over the border to the buyer.
You CANNOT do it without repercussions. Both from a illegal standpoint and the 'list' your name will be flagged with everytime you cross the border in the future.
To the original poster.
Please do NOT drive your vehicle down, sell it and then come back without it.
Call Canada customs regarding your wonderful return trip and homeland security/US customs about importing your vehicle in the US.
You are 'technically' importing a 15yr old of whatever age it is vehicle into the US for the purpose of reselling. It is not legal.
Don't listen to anyone who says otherwise.
Better to get your answers direction from can/us customs than an internet forum.
