I am sorry to hear this!!That really sucks!!you Must be furious!!
Who did the last rebuild?
I am not sure if where on delica engines its located,but maybe check your sump screen.I had a saturn once upon a time and the engine was re-built and every part was sealed with silicone.My theory was the silicone ozzed out internally with component clamp up pressure.It then broke off floated around and eventually clogged the sump Screen and starved the engine of adequate oil pressure.I took the pan off and sure enough it was full of silicone.If the company that rebuilt your engine did not use propper gaskets and siliconed everything your sump might be clogged with silicone....
This is just a theory...Its not my intent to throw you off on a tangent as i am sure you have lots going through your head.Maybe if you could prove this it could be a warrenty job.Take a quick look under and see if your oil pan has been siliconed on..
