How Many People Would Want An EGR Blanking Plate For L300?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Sorry, just realized you are simply blocking flow while leaving the EGR in place, thus 1/16" is plenty. I prefer to remove it all together if only to "clean" up the engine bay, although in my opinion it is the best place for a pyro as well.

for $15 I'll just buy it. If I pulled the gasket then I'd have to do it at work (otherwise I'd have no way to get there!), fab the plate, re-install it and hope I didn't screw anything up.

At that price, why don't you just group buy the kit at discount?

This would be for the complete truncation of the EGR valve, no?

The idea behind this plate is for the convenience of just slipping the gasket out and slipping the plate in so you can use the same bolts.

I looked at that ad, Rich, they currently have it at a special price:
"GRAB YOUR CHANCE TO BUY AT THIS NEW VASTLY REDUCED RECESSION BEATING PRICE OF £19.00, PREVIOUSLY SOLD AT £23.50"

I am talking about 15 Canadian dollars, not UK pounds. I already have a plate in the Miss Lil' Bitchi ~ but I have a friend who can make them ~ this is the way I see it: The club benefits + my friend benefits = everybody benefits ~ it's a mutually beneficial equation (and it makes me look pretty good, too).

This is what it looks like:

From the look of things, the blanking kit on ebay also blanks the L400 and the Pajero - not just the L300, so I bet there are some L400 owners - such as myself - who would be interested. (Provided that it can support my EGT thermocouple).

As I said, this is a convenient way to blank out your L300 EGR without performing serious surgery. There is nothing stopping you from starting your on thread for L400s ~ perhaps I should move this into L300 Technical. By the way, the current exchange on nineteen quid is $30.27 Cdn, before shipping. One thing you can do is pull out your EGR gasket, trace it, take it to a metal fabricator, &c., which is basically what I have done.
