The higher the price, the better they think the quality is and the more phone calls. Lower price attracts tire kickers. Most RHD buyers are a different breed.
Wait a sec, is this coming from a guy who sells RHD cars? holy bad publicity batman.

It's not a trade secret.... it's one of the first things they teach you in marketting.... price vs perceived quality. I personally don't use because I wholesale and sell mostly to dealers/resellers but have tested it and see it in practice everyday.

EX: Someone posts a Delica for $8500 even though it's really worth $6000. Right away the laymen buyer thinks there must be something great about this Delica if he is able to ask $2500 more than the market. That's called perceived quality.

You + Green1 = 0 sales.... ?

How are you supposed to give advice when you have NO EXPERIENCE? That goes for mechanical advice too!

Telling the woman to price it "fair". Actually FROM EXPERIENCE, I found the opposite was true with Delica buyers. The higher the price, the better they think the quality is and the more phone calls. Lower price attracts tire kickers. Most RHD buyers are a different breed.

You guys have way too many posts for such a short period time! Consider posting only when you have first-hand knowledge of a topic so you can back it up with facts and theory. It's no use to copy and paste what you've read in the past.

why do you care if I have sold any RHDs? I offered no advice on it, I was merely pointing out that your an ass.

also as Green1 stated you don't need to sell the to notice the decrease in average price as well as the increase in time it takes to sell. as you stated demand has gone up and supply has gone up even faster, that means that demand in relation to supply (the relationship between the two is what is import) is indeed down by your own admission.

My advice.. for the OP,

Use Craigslist and Kijiji to see what the average price is for similar trucks..

Make a note of how much you paid for it.

Then decide how desperate you are for a sale..

If your truck is in above average quality, i would post it at the higher end of the average asking price.

You can always negotiate with a potential customer..

Just be ready for the many emails of people wanting to trade/pay $4000..

I would list it at $7800 its a good starting point..
Its all about the Right Way:

KeiKing,

I think that most people come to this forum to get everyone’s opinion and take it for what it is, weather that be from personal experience or from there own research, I have personally found alot of helpful information in this forum that dealers could not give me a straight answer on

Example, I asked two different importers that specialize in RHD imports about what the *HOLD* and *power* button does, they both said the Power Button dumps more gas into the motor...which I thought was odd and can here and found out that it just changes the way the transmission shifts holds the gears longer...

So If I ask a question I don’t just want the info from the professional dealers because even they don’t know everything....

So in the future maybe just post your thoughts and dont attack others...as from a business stand point your only hurting your reputation on a board with many potental buyers...

This of course is just my opinion and everyone can take it for what it is as I'm not a professional in this field nor have a business degree just life experience...like may others on this forum.

Thanks

Joe

Hi Candice,

Might be obvious advice to you, but not to everyone....

Take the time to take good pictures of the car, and post an attentive ad with a full list of the work that's been done on it while in your possession. A good ad which shows attention to detail (including good grammar and spelling) does a lot to encourage confidence in what you're selling. Make it feel like you've really liked the vehicle while you've owned it.

It's amazing to me, that some sellers claim to really need to make a sale, and are in a desperate situation, but leave a 2-sentence no-picture ad up and wonder weeks later why no one is interested!

Please any info, it's getting stressful :P
considering the sheer number of RHD vehicles around, I can tell you that the "fear of driving on the right" is not all that prevalent, there is quite a bit of demand for these vehicles, now unfortunately that demand isn't as high right now as it was a year
LOL! How do you know so much about demand when you haven't sold ONE RHD vehicle in your life? What are you basing your comments on?
I think that some people on here wouldn't be so brave with the mouth if they were within smacking range. Personally, I can't wait to never buy a vehicle from our belligerent little friend, barking from the safety of mother's porch in Manitoba.

I'm also somewhat eager for natural selection to take care of the professor's business (and, more urgently, his account on delica.ca). I'm thinking he's not deserving of either. These types of aggressive posts don't establish anyone as an authority. At least not on JDM vehicles...

Hey Kei, what the hell is a "nanks"?

For a business you are the most unprofessional one I have ever seen on here or for that fact anywhere else.

I have recommend several people to other dealers on here and have steered them clear of yourself.

Take your incredibly childish attitude and go home. No one wants to see your type on here.

I ask for a moderator to remove you.

Did anyone else notice that the poster of the original sale only made two posts on this forum, both regarding the sale of her paj, and both were way back in June - I'd say she is probably long gone....

I cant believe the infantile behavior of some of the regular and frequent posters. Does anyone know if they actually helped resolve an issue without this wasteful intersection of opinioning and pettiness?
It's prevalent here on delica.ca and not so in the UK and other AU related sites.

When has it ever been reasonable behave this way and expect to haver readers not see you. Perhaps the poor behaviors and arguing should be posted on your FB accounts too. Few of you have a website or email that you are willing to show. Are concerned about you street identities?

Change is due.

Moderators, hello! Is this a chat room or do you intend to have something more valuable?

'You guys have way too many posts for such a short period time! Consider posting only when you have first-hand knowledge of a topic so you can back it up with facts and theory." - a worthy statement. I think Ill add his to my signature line.
It really does look like a race to mph maximum posts per hour.

I'm done with the BS here.

Don't bother attacking me.
I'll just turn your posting to face the corner and cut it's privileges.

Apparently this is due to a difference in moderator philosophy, on the UK site the mods are much quicker to ban someone causing problems, whereas on delica.ca they lean more towards "freedom of speech" (I can't really speak for the AU site as I've never been a member there)
