Changing Front Seats

You may want to try out a set of Pajero seats if you can find a set. They are by far the most comfortable seats I have found in a long time. Not sure if the suspension underneath would fit in your vans but a very comfortable seat.

So updates on the seat front:
Went to North Shore Offroad today and try to fit the Corbeau Baja RS as well as a no name seats they had in their shop. Unfortunately both seats are too wide on the seating area. You can't even close the door.
There are seats from Corbeau which I pretty sure would fit. Like the GTS II http://www.corbeau.com/products/reclining_seats/gts_ii/ or the TRS http://www.corbeau.com/products/reclining_seats/trs/ or the A4 http://www.corbeau.com/products/reclining_seats/a4/ but the problem is you are talking about big $$$ and if you order them you have to take them. No return.
Installing the seats further back and lower is not possible at all. The only thing you could do is to use one of the racing seats with less foam to sit a little bit lower. Till now the Procar Sportsman http://www.procarbyscat.com/Products_Sportsman.asp is still my favourite, even it don't fit :(
Next thing will be to look around at the local junkyards and maybe find some good German seats. Any recommendations where I could go?

you could try volkswagen forums, there tend to be 1 or 2 sets of recaros out of early 90's corrados and golfs (mostly VR6 and wolfsburgs I think) but I recall the bases aren't too wide and if they aren't the heated ones, they should sit quite low. They are not overly adjustable, but are well bolstered, comfortably stiff and the material is pretty sturdy, unlike the Deli seats, which feel like they are filled with cotton swabs and newspaper.

That's the first thing I went to look for when I bought my first Delica.

At the time I still had our Pajero and I pulled both seats to see if they would fit = no go

The most comfy seats I've sat in. They were great on long distance trips.

Just a thought,my pal had a crx,and a fiero,both seats were very low to the floor if i can remember from those days ,oh those days.

Yeah.....brother had the Fiero...2nd one in Nvan and for about a month it was the hottest car going....then it became a belly-button (everyone had one) and the word was out that it was an under performer, and lots of quality problems.

Now the CRX, bought an ex one of those...that was a fine little car. Wish I kept it in the parting of ways!

Yes, both had good seats without a doubt.

I second (or third) the comfiness of Pajero seats. Leather Delica seats - now that would be uber cool. Have you thought of reupholstering your present seats, rather than finding different ones? Maybe a stiffer fabric (like leather) would do the trick. Or just get a good cover. Beads, anyone?

I hate beads. I tried them once and I kept getting minor whiplash from trying to get out of the seat ~ my ponytail would still want to stay with the beads .

Try the Mopac on 200th in Langley, just off of hwy 1. I had gotten a set of RAMPAGE "renegade" seats from them for my last vehicle (Ford Ranger) very supportive and great for long distance without being cushy and they reclined. Cost me $100 per seat (insider price) anyway they have a good selection including APC, RCI, Rampage amongst others.
