Can you believe that I just picked up my Delica from Mardy, I've had it for slightly over 24hrs and I can't make the meet!

And I work downtown... so close to cook street!

Second meet on Sunday?

Well ... it is tempting to get a mainland convoy organized to join you ... show y'all how we do it ... without any intention of bragging may I politely refresh your memories that we posted photos of our meet up with 22 deli's (21 all at the same time !!!!) ... world record?

I just checked the ferry fare, Vcr to Victoria will be $40.35 plus tax & surcharge (versus $58. plus if travelled today), so it is do-able.

WHERE could we do a camp out Saturday night, must allow our usual 1 central campfire (controlled) , and room to circle the wagons around the fire -- one big spot not several separate spots. We put the big tarp over the deli side doors and tie tarp to the so useful deli mirrors. A biffy is super nice. Ideas? Anyone got a large yard?

And here I thought I only counted nine or so in that photo! Took a while to get a rise outta someone from the Big Land.

French Beach is nice, and there are a couple of sites on the corners that are quite large - could set up a big tarp and huddle under that. Check this out: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explor ... rench_bch/. Or check with kb&2dogs for some ideas - they got lots camping spots mapped out on this rock.

If you mean the last time we got together, check out my album. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until what is looking like the 13th.

The camping thing was a idea I got from Delicat (who asked in another post if anyone on the mainland wanted to go camping), but it's something we could do here on the Island after the coffee-meet. I'm up for it. Took a drive out there yesterday, and it's mostly empty so I don't think we'd have a difficult time finding a couple of spots.

So, the masses have spoken, and the coffee-meet will be on the 13th December. I had initially thought of a time in the afternoon, but most indicated they would rather something before lunch, so I think 11.00h would be in order.

There is also talk of some camping afterwards (at least two others), so that could be something a couple of us could carry on with after the coffee. I think more could be worked out between now and then.

Judging by the response to the poll buttons, I would say there is about half-dozen vans looking to show.

I just wanted to extend this to the Stradas (there's a couple) and Pajeros (lots of these) that are in the Victoria-area. Don't be shy, you can show up too! The Mitsumaple is quite befitting on those vehicles as well (as they are Mitsubishis, of course).

Marsgal42: would be great if you were to show up. Always room for a Continental.

Confirming my reservation at the grown-ups table for Christmas coffee on the 13th. I have 5 jugs of cider from Delicat in the truck for you .

We'll be there, then hopefully to the park, then probably home to continue the puppy lessons with Tundra (no, this tree is special, it is NOT appropriate to pee on it!) :? :M
